I've kicked off the new year by actually MOVING MY STUDIO to a bright and fun new place after 3 months of two of us working weekends to renovate it!

I am happy to say I painted for the first time today and can't believe what a difference space and good light make. ;)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as they say, and I'm having a hard time keeping up!

As some of you know I had an accident over Thanksgiving that has had me out of commission since. Thank you to you all that have sent me well wishes, it is so nice to know that there are so many who care.

You're patience and understanding on some of my shipping delays is much appreciated. You're packages will be on their way asap.

I'm slowly but surely on the mend, and determined today to get in the spirit and start decorating, shopping and finally PAINTING!

I ran out of smaller canvases the other day, so while waiting for my new shipment I decided to paint a little larger, my new vision for this one is to do a similar image but on an extremely large scale so if anyone has any really good pictures of your babies faces that are full of shadow and light sent them on!

As fate would have it, I've been blessed with the addition of two new little furry friends in my life and a breed that I haven't explored with paint yet.. two little Boston Terriers.

I can't very well paint Harry all the time and leave them out now can I ?

So let your Boston lover friends know to be on the look out for new work of this breed.

This one is almost finished, so if anyone is interested in it before it is listed next week just let me know "here"

Clearance!!.. Things are getting exciting around here, after years of painting out of a little room turned studio in my home, I am in the process of moving to a new storefront building that will be the home of my new studio and gallery within the next couple of months. This will be a much welcomed move as I am busting at the seems in this little space...

I wasn't sure where I'd be moving but was sure that it would hit me over the head when the right place came available. Many of you know of my obsession with my lucky number 11, well, on the 11th of this month I was told of an available storefront, I went to see it and knew immediately it was a great place but when I walked to the door and saw that the address was 111... ;) that sealed the deal!

So for the next few days I am going to be listing little paintings that have been stacked in the corner for quite some time.. and in in keeping with my 11 streak, going to start them all at $11.11, so have fun. :)

up first... for the corgi lovers. This little painting is one that I started several years ago and never finished from an image someone on my mailing list sent in as an inspiration. I pulled it out today and couldn't find the original reference so just did the touching up out of my own head. Does anyone recognize this little guy?

SURPRISE! ;).. I am STILL PAINTING.

I have been incredibly busy with portraits, and not just any portraits, but have recently returned from

the trip of my life. I got my golden ticket and headed to HOLLYWOOD!

I was so fortunate to meet with and photograph a few Hollywood celebrities to paint their portraits. I was incredibly nervous but ended up having the time of my life and making new wonderful friends.. they really are just regular people!. I don't want to name drop yet, but as soon as they are completed I will share them here with you all.

Yesterday I went down to work on one of the portraits and little Harry followed me down, I glanced over and he was looking like the biggest pout box, very mopey over the fact that I was working and not tossing his ball. So after taking a little break to appease him I decided I was long overdue for a dog painting.

I am going to try to do better, I promise to squeeze some in in between the people portraits... after all these little fur babies of ours deserve to be little masterpieces too!

Finally! Laura Beam Interiors -Art and Antiques has opened, and I am proud to be affiliated with Laura. She's had me busy filling her gallery with artwork and I plan to offer what is for sale in her shop also online in my ebay store. It will be a little different from the dog and children's portraiture, but that keeps it fun!

FLOOD! :(... Oh my what a mess I have on my hands.. soo much rain and a broken sump pump has led to quite an unexpected mess in my studio.. so I've gotten a little behind!.. Hi All!. Hope everyone is doing well, you may remember the very large painting I did of Harry on my red silk chair, here is a smaller one, and I am having a really difficult time getting a good clear image of it. Harry has taken claim of this chair.. I finally gave in and realized it was no longer mine. :) so don't be surprised if there is a whole series of them!
